Let's talk solutions

I've been where you are. As an engineer turned Master Executive Therapeutic Mindset Coach, I understand the unique pressures of our profession and I've experienced all these inner struggles. That's why I've been able to tailor my coaching methods to so effectively and specifically address and quickly alleviate the internal struggles that engineers face, often within just a few sessions via Zoom.

This is where I can make a big difference, helping you overcome these barriers and work through those issues so that you can function at a higher level and enjoy greater success, unburdened by them.

In the demanding world of engineering,

are these INNER STRUGGLES quietly undermining you?

In the exacting profession of engineering, these inner battles – stress, overwhelm, anxiety and procrastination - could be causing you emotional pain, keeping you from truly excelling or even enjoying the career that you have worked so hard for.

While it’s common to deal with these sorts of emotional issues in any high-stakes profession, the intense demands of the engineering profession can make each workday a test of endurance.

You're possibly at the top of your game, with projects that redefine skylines and innovations that mark your career in the industry and in society at large.

Yet, beneath the surface, you cycle between feeling stressed to being overwhelmed, leading you to feel anxious, all of which can lead to procrastination, stopping you from achieving all that you are hoping to achieve.

Together, they form a formidable handicap that can dim even the brightest career.

The vicious cycle of inner struggle

It's not merely about battling occasional stress or facing the normal ebb and flow of professional pressures. It's about being caught in a relentless cycle where each element feeds the other, creating a formidable barrier that's hard to break through.

Are these INNER STRUGGLES -

stress, overwhelm, anxiety & procrastination - pulling you down?

With my specialised approach, I usually help people quickly shake off these inner struggles or other issues, often in just a few Zoom sessions, from the comfort of home.

In fact, many clients have been able to overcome issues that have held them for many years in only ONE session!

What are some of the signs that stress, overwhelm, anxiety, and procrastination are troubling you?

  • Constant feelings of overwhelm: Feeling like you're drowning in tasks, unable to prioritize or see a way through your workload. This sensation can paralyze decision-making and sap your energy.
  • Chronic stress: Experiencing a persistent sense of pressure that goes beyond normal job stressors, leading to physical and emotional exhaustion.
  • Incessant anxiety over deadlines and decisions: Worrying excessively about upcoming deadlines or decisions, even when you've prepared adequately, indicating anxiety is at play.
  • Procrastination as a coping mechanism: Delaying tasks not because you're lazy, but as a way to momentarily escape the weight of your workload and expectations, which only compounds stress and anxiety.
  • Difficulty switching off: Struggling to disconnect from work, leading to burnout and affecting your personal life and well-being.
  • Avoiding communication: Dodging emails, meetings, or conversations because they feel too overwhelming, signalling a deeper issue than just being "busy."
  • Physical symptoms of stress: Experiencing headaches, sleep disturbances, or a compromised immune system as your body reacts to ongoing stress and anxiety.
  • Mental fog and indecision: Feeling unable to think clearly or make decisions, a direct result of being overwhelmed and anxious.
  • Self-criticism and doubt: Second-guessing your capabilities and accomplishments, wondering if you're really cut out for your role.
  • Escaping into ‘busywork’: Filling your time with unimportant tasks to avoid tackling the big, daunting projects that trigger your anxiety and overwhelm.

What if you don't overcome these internal hurdles?

As engineers, we're no strangers to solving complex problems, but when it comes to the internal battles of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and procrastination, the solutions aren't always as clear-cut. If left unchecked, these issues can have a significant impact:

Career growth brought to a stand-still: It's easy to get stuck in your comfort zone when these challenges cloud your judgment. You might avoid taking on new projects, asking for that pay rise, taking on a new job or stepping into leadership roles, leaving your potential untapped.

Home life harmony disrupted (if not destroyed): Stress and anxiety don't just disappear when you leave the office. They can follow you home, affecting your relationships and turning your personal space into a source of tension instead of relief.

Serious health risk: Constant stress and worry take a toll on both your mental and physical health, leading to burnout and potentially serious health conditions over time.

And you can’t assume that things will get better over time, because, if nothing is done about it, these sorts of problems generally get worse and worse.

Imagine how difficult your life could be in five years’ time if you don’t act on these issues now, right now.

Think forward 5 years from now, Imagine the cost to you in terms of your health, your wealth, your relationships. Then how much worse will all this be in 10 years or even longer?

You arrived at this page for a reason: you were aware that you have a problem and are looking for solutions to it. So, don’t put it off any longer, don’t let your INNER STRUGGLES prevent you from solving this problem – make the most of this wonderful opportunity to let them go, once-and-for-all.

  • Anxiety that whispers in the back of your mind, creating doubt at every turn, questioning your every move, leading to ....
  • Procrastination that postpones success, trapping you in a loop of missed deadlines and lost opportunities.

So, despite the success you've achieved so far, the battle against these inner demons can make you feel like you're perpetually falling short.

This isn't just a hindrance or inconvenience; it's a massive burden  undermining your potential, costing you not just peace of mind but the very essence of what allows you to excel.

The impact? A career that's constantly on the defensive, potential that's boxed in, and a daily struggle that goes unnoticed.

And it can be much more than just one small setback after another; it can be a significant threat to your well-being , your career progression and your health.

Left unattended, over time it can lead to burnout, strained personal and professional relationships, and a pervasive feeling of never truly measuring up, robbing you of any satisfaction from all your efforts.

Why it can be so hard to solve your unconscious mind problem

You’ve possibly struggled with these issues for weeks, months or maybe YEARS! If that is the case, you have probably done everything that you can think of to let them go, with only limited success.

And you might have concluded that it is simply something that you just have to live with.

If this is the case for you, you could be comforted to know that it is not your fault that part of you a seems to be making life harder for you than necessary and that it’s NOT a matter of lacking the willpower to overcome it.

That is because the underlying cause of these issues could well lie in your unconscious or deeper mind. And this is out of reach of your conscious mind because, well..., it is unconscious!

These sorts of intractable problems can best be dealt with by working with an experienced mindset coach, because, to paraphrase Albert Einstein “It takes a different level of thinking to solve a problem than that which created or perceived it in the first place.”

Trying to reach your unconscious mind is like trying to see the back of your head – you need a mirror to do that, and in the coaching environment, your mindset coach acts as your mirror.
